Individual therapy, also known as counseling or psychotherapy, is a one-on-one therapeutic process where we will work in a private and confidential setting. In individual therapy, we'll focus on your unique concerns, challenges, and goals. Together, we'll explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and work on developing strategies to improve your mental health and well-being. Individual therapy provides a safe space for you to express yourself, gain insights, and receive support as you navigate life's difficulties.
Depression treatment is for individuals who experience persistent feelings of sadness, hopelessness, and a loss of interest in things they once enjoyed. Depression affects mood, energy levels, and overall well-being. In therapy, we'll work together to understand the causes of your depression and develop strategies to alleviate symptoms. This might involve identifying and changing negative thought patterns, learning healthy coping mechanisms, and exploring ways to increase your sense of fulfillment and pleasure in life.
Anxiety treatment helps people who struggle with excessive worry, fear, and nervousness. If you often feel on edge, have racing thoughts, and experience physical symptoms like a racing heart or shortness of breath, anxiety treatment can provide relief. In therapy, we'll work together to understand the root causes of your anxiety and develop strategies to manage it. This may involve learning relaxation techniques, challenging negative thoughts, and gradually facing your fears in a safe and supportive environment.
Trauma treatment helps individuals recover from distressing or traumatic experiences and reduce their long-term impact. Trauma can result from various events, such as accidents, abuse, or witnessing violence. In therapy, we'll create a safe and supportive space for you to process your experiences. We may use techniques to help you heal from the emotional wounds of trauma. The goal is to reduce distressing symptoms like flashbacks or nightmares and promote your overall well-being and resilience.
Self-esteem treatment is for individuals who struggle with low self-worth and a negative self-image. Low self-esteem can affect your confidence, relationships, and overall happiness. In therapy, we'll explore the underlying factors contributing to your low self-esteem and work on building a healthier self-perception. This may involve challenging negative self-talk, developing self-compassion, and learning assertiveness skills. The aim is to help you feel more confident, accepting of yourself, and empowered in your life.
Stress management is about learning effective ways to cope with and reduce stress in your life. When you're overwhelmed by stress from work, relationships, or life changes, it can impact your well-being. In therapy, we'll explore your stress triggers and develop practical skills to help you better handle them. This might include time management techniques, setting boundaries, and finding healthy ways to relax and take care of yourself. The goal is to help you feel more in control, balanced, and resilient in the face of stress.

Cancellation Policy
Regarding my cancellation policy, I kindly ask that you provide me with at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. This allows me to offer your appointment time to another client who may need services. If your appointment is not canceled before 24 hours, you will be held responsible for the session's price. I understand that life can be unpredictable, but I hope that this policy will encourage you to prioritize your appointments and commit to your journey of peace and healing.

Self Pay
My starting rate for a 45-minute individual session is $155 per session, due on the day of service. I understand that the cost can be a lot for some individuals. It's important to note that the self-pay option allows for more flexibility and control over your treatment without the limitations of insurance companies. One benefit of self-pay is that you do not have to worry about insurance companies dictating your treatment or having your personal information shared with them. Additionally, you have the freedom to choose the therapist that you feel most comfortable with rather than being limited to those in your insurance network.

Insurance & Out-of-Network Reimbursement
Insurance Polices Accepted
I accept a variety of insurance plans, including Aetna, Cigna, Florida Blue, and United Health Care, among others. For a full list of accepted plans, please visit my Psychology Today profile at https://www.psychology.com/profile/930661.
Out of Network Reimbursement
It is important to note that out-of-network benefits may vary depending on your insurance plan. If you do choose to go out of network, I am happy to provide a monthly super-bill that you can submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement. A super-bill is a detailed invoice that includes the necessary information for your insurance company to process the claim. Please note that clients using a super-bill are still responsible for paying their session price on the day of service.
